The University of Hawaii softball team lost a pair of games to Cal State Fullerton in a doubleheader on Saturday at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

Hawaii lost the first game 4-0, then fell 8-0 via mercy rule in six innings.

After Saturday’s action, Hawaii is 20-23 overall and 13-9 in Big West games, officially falling out of contention in the conference race.

Meanwhile, Fullerton improved to 34-16 overall and 20-4 in Big West play, entering the final weekend of play in the driver’s seat.

Hawaii closes out its season with a three-game series at UC Davis, beginning with a doubleheader on Friday at 10 a.m. HST.
