Buffalo Wild Wings is introducing its first carry-out and quick-stop focused location in Iowa. Located in Altoona, the Buffalo Wild Wings GO restaurant has its grand opening on Saturday, March 15.

When does Buffalo Wild Wings GO open in Altoona?

Opening day for the new Altoona location, 3418 Eighth Street, is March 15.

At 10 a.m., there will be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. In celebration of the grand opening, the first 50 guests in line at 10:30 a.m. will receive free wings for a year.

What's the difference between Buffalo Wild Wings and Buffalo Wild Wings GO?

The Buffalo Wild Wings GO concept was officially launched in 2020. It's a fast and casual version of the traditional Buffalo Wild Wings Sports Bar with a focus on meals on-the-go and delivery, said Casey Cargle, public relations specialist at BWW.

There will still be dine-in options, though, the company noted. The new location will offer traditional and boneless wings, hand-breaded tenders, chicken sandwiches, burgers, sides and all 26 of Buffalo Wild Wings' signature sauces and dry rubs.

Buffalo Wild Wings GO locations feature counter ordering instead of a wait staff.

The 1,450-square-foot restaurant will employ 25 crew members and be open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.

Are more Buffalo Wild Wings GO restaurants coming to Iowa?

The Altoona location is owned by franchisee Infinite Kings Holdings. The group plans to open three more Buffalo Wild Wings GO restaurants in the Des Moines area. Locations in Waukee and Grimes are expected to open later in 2025, according to a news release.
