House Of Henry Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -All day Saturday, a wave of people dressed in green could be spotted celebrating St.Patrick’s Day.
“It’s super exciting just to see everybody come out,” said Monica Dotson, a Volunteer at the House Of Henry event. “We’re Excited to be here to help support downtown. It’s growing, and we’re excited to see how much downtown is changing.”
The family-friendly event put on by House of Henry hosts traditional Irish music, vendors, face-painting, and even some friendly competitions such as costume contests.
“This is what the whole year sets up for an Irish restaurant,” said House of Henry Events coordinator Corey Hall. “we are trying to keep the traditional roots, and culture of it strong here.”
Hall adds that events like this are important for the community.
” We need culturally fueled events to keep the culture strong for our future generations.” Said Hall, " Having events like this actually celebrates the roots of what St. Patrick’s Day is, that’s very important for our community.”
House of Henry’s Irish festivities will continue through St. Patrick’s Day.
